If you’re like many people, you may find yourself wishing that your iPhone or iPad would just stop making those annoying keyboard sounds. Well, fortunately, it’s easy to disable them! Here’s how:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on General and then Keyboard.
- Under “Keyboard Sounds,” uncheck the box next to “Keyboard Sounds.” ..
After testing out the new iOS 9 beta, the first thing that we noticed was how annoying the keyboard noises can be after about 32 seconds of typing. Thankfully it’s super easy to turn them off — so easy, in fact, that we probably don’t need to write an article about it.
To disable the annoying keyboard click sounds, just open up Settings, find Sounds on the left-hand side, and then toggle the Keyboard Clicks selector. Or you can look at the screenshot above.
As an added bonus, if the keyboard sounds irritate you, it might be time to think about turning off the Lock Sounds as well, as they make a clicking sound every time you turn your iPhone or iPad on or off. They are pretty annoying.
